Ruby (and Rails) Insurgency
Ruby and Rails are steadily gaining ground in the war against mediocrity in Web development. In its short lifespan it has not only won over some of the industry’s top enterprise developers and ruled the startup market, but it has spawned a legion of copy-cat frameworks in languages from Ruby to C#. Yet, relatively speaking, there are large territories into which Ruby has not made a significant advancement. This talk will explore strategies for Ruby and Rails insurgency in less forgiving environments as well as detailing the advantages the typical Ruby developer has over a developer using an average competing technology.
