Noriyuki Mutou is a system engineer at TG Information Network Co.,Ltd., a member of the Tokyo Gas group. He joined the company in 1994, and has been engaging in development and maintenance of systems including remote monitoring and control system for town gas supply facility and earthquake disaster prevention system In 2004, he gradually started to adopt Ruby to the disaster prevention systems of Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. and eventually, he adopted Ruby into full-scale.In Oct. 2009, the earthquake disaster prevention system fully redeveloped in Ruby went live. Noriyuki served as the project manager of these projects.

At Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd., Ruby has been completely adopted in highly Mission-critical systems such as the earthquake disaster prevention system. In this session, I will introduce “SUPREME”, the earthquake disaster prevention system redeveloped in Oct. 2009, along with Ruby’s role in the overall system framework, and the benefits of applying Ruby, from users’ point of view.
