Presentation title
De jure standardization of Ruby programming language
Presentation outline
Our activity toward creating the de jure standardization of Ruby programming language started in Nov. 2008. We’ve just completed the final draft for JIS, which is one of requisites for submitting the specification for standardization to ISO from the Japanese Standard body. At the last year’s conference, we discussed the necessity of standardization. Today, I’m going to talk about our achievement in last one year. The proposed specification is based on Ruby 1.8 and it specifies the core of the language and basic libraries.
